Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Entebbe, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your accommodation.

Day 2 :
Entebbe

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for the keeper of the day program, similar to a job shadowing, you will spend the day with the animal keepers who will share their passion for animals with you and participate in hands-on-activities such as preparing animal meals, cleaning enclosures and providing enrichment to stimulate them both mentally and physically.

After breakfast, you will meet a wonder woman, who has taken up children abandoned by their parents and raises them as her own despite the financial difficulties she experiences. You will go shopping for some supplies for the children with her guidance and have a meal together as she shares her incredible journey and story. Later meet the children at a local children’s park to hand over the supplies and take a moment to engage the kids in fun activities such as painting, dancing and storytelling.

Today after breakfast, you will transfer to Kampala for a short city tour, visiting the National Museum and the Gadhafi mosque, you will be able to pick up a few supplies needed for your afternoon visit in a local school. Enjoy a meal and later transfer to visit a local primary school.

We are heading north. Our first stop will be at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have an extraordinary experience observing and learning about the conservation of the highly endangered white rhinos. You will give a donation to support the conservation of rhinos in Uganda. On the way you will be treated to one of the loudest sights in Uganda at the top of Murchison Falls, where the powerful river Nile forces its way through a gap only 7 metres wide.

Today we will have an early morning game drive and a relaxing afternoon boat ride along the Victoria Nile River where you will encounter animals gathering on the riverbanks, and an abundance of crocodiles and hippos. You’ll get to see the thundering falls from the bottom as the boat turns for the return journey.

Make sure you have a good breakfast! We will have a 6-hour drive to Kibale National Park, so you will have plenty of time to enjoy the breath-taking scenery en route. On your way, you will stop over at a tea plantation and help locals who pick tea leaves for living. Help them pick some tea leaves before proceeding to Kibale.

In the morning you will be hiking off the beaten track, through the jungle in search of chimpanzees. Once you find them, it will be a fascinating experience as you watch them play, feed and swing through the trees, which is highly entertaining. Primate and bird watching will be the highlights of the afternoon walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, this activity benefits the community.

On our way to Queen Elizabeth National Park, before we cross the Equator we shall first enjoy this coffee zone for our won great experience. In the afternoon if time allows you will have a game drive during which you will have the chance to see lions, elephants, several breeds of antelope, birds and much more!

We will start the day with an early morning game drive while many animals are still on the move during the cool part of the day. Stay alert and you could see lions, buffalo, elephants, antelopes, the elusive bush pig and you might even be lucky enough to spot a leopard! Hippos, buffalo, crocodiles and many species of birds can be spotted during the afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Channel.

After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in time for a relaxed evening. Enjoy the serene surroundings as you prepare for the enriching experiences ahead.

After breakfast, you will drive to a local women’s tailoring project, arriving in time for introductions to the members of the projects, its goals, challenges, and success stories.In the afternoon, go for a walk and experience the beautiful nature. You will have dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your lodge for an overnight.Take a guided tour of the workshop, learning about the tailoring process and the products made by the women and watch a brief demonstration of their skills, from fabric cutting to stitching and finishing. Gain insights into how the project is making a difference in their lives and the local community.In the afternoon, go for a walk and experience the beautiful nature. You will have dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your lodge for an overnight.

After breakfast, visit the Batwa with a few youths from the neighbouring village for a cultural learning experience in the afternoon. The youths and yourselves, will learn from the Batwa elders about their past, traditional ways of living to help preserve the knowledge. With the client’s permission, this can be recorded and shared online to reach thousands of people.Note that; an extra day of Gorilla Tracking can be added to the program for an additional fee!

Transfer to Kiyebe Village for an immersive experience in the community after a relaxed breakfast. Enjoy a local meal and culture entertainment after helping out in community projects like bee keeping and gardening.

Today after breakfast, you will visit a crafts making workshop and engage and learn making some crafts with local women, have a conversation and learn from each other.Head out for a boat ride on the lake, exploring some of its 29 islands and learning about their history, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

After a relaxed breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, reaching in time for an evening game drive.

Enjoy a morning biking tour through the Bahima communities around this small but beautiful national park. Have lunch at a locally owned restaurant.In the afternoon, head out for a game drive for an encounter with animals including zebras, giraffes, hippos and Bufalloes among others.

After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to Masaka, reaching in time to enjoy a local meal. Later proceed to a local primary school for an engagement with the kids in a game.In the afternoon, head out for a game drive for an encounter with animals including zebras, giraffes, hippos and Bufalloes among others.

After breakfast, head out with the kids, to visit the Uganda and Tanzania boarder to learn about and share your experiences with immigration, share a meal with the kids at a local restaurant.

Day 20 :
Entebbe

On your final day, reflect on the positive impact you've made throughout your journey. After a relaxed breakfast, depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the Airport in time for your flight back home, carrying with you the memories of an enriching and transformative experience.
